ABOUT THE THYROID TOP DOCTORS DIRECTORY
The following listing includes recommended doctors and practitioners for your thyroid care.
Please note that being listed here in the Thyroid Top Doctors Directory doesn't necessarily mean a doctor is the right one for you. The doctor may be an empathetic and warm physician, but not open to working with drugs like Armour or T3 drugs. Or the doctor may be quite costly and not on insurance programs. Always call the doctor's office ahead of time to find out more about the doctor's philosophy, approach, costs, and other important factors before going in for your first appointment.
Please let us know if you have feedback about doctors listed here, or would like to recommend your doctor.

WA 98004, Phone: phone (425) 455-4929, www.dr-marmorstein.com, A patient writes: "Dr.

on lab results to determine what to prescribe. I see him for my thyroid as well as whatever other medical
need comes up." (Added: Dec. 04) Bellingham
Dr. Pat Elliott, Naturopath doctor, 1155 N State St, Suite 618, Bellingham,
WA 98225, 360-647-0228, pat@elliotthealthcare.com. "She treats by symptoms,
not by numbers. She is very easy to deal with and appointments usually
last at least an hour. She does not require thousands of dollars worth
of tests to get started. She is very knowledgeable about thyroid and
other hormone problems and very thorough in her explanations. She has
limited office hours but often follow-up , can be reached by phone making
her quite cost effective."
Another reader recommends Dr. Elliott:
"After 10 years of treatment for "depression," and being told countless
times, "well your numbers are low but still within the range of normal,"
I FINALLY got a referral to Dr. Elliott. She takes me seriously and
is treating me based not just on numbers that are right for the Average
American, but based on what's right for ME. I can't recommend her highly
enough!" (Added 11/02) Bellingham

Dr. Jennifer McAfee, endocrinology/ Diabetes, 1100 Larrabee Ave., WA.
98225, 360-671-6560. A reader writes: "I was fortunate enough to get a referral to Dr. Mcaffee. She
spent much time with me and was very concerned about my health. She treats patients with thyroid meds
by how they are feeling, not totally relying on the TSH level in the blood. She feels everyone is different
and may need to be at different levels. She also fine tunes thyroid levels by using thyroid meds made at
an apothecary pharmacy for T-3 levels. She is kind and very caring. You may have to wait to get into
her and may have to sit in her office while she is running very behind at times but when she meets with
you she is never in any type of a rush. She is wonderful!" (Added 6/05) Bremerton
Jack A. Birnbaum, Endocrinology. The Doctor’s Clinic, 2512 Wheaton
Way,
Bremerton, WA 98310-3399 360-478-6288. A reader writes that, "I was
referred to Dr. Birnbaum by my GP. I was expecting an uphill battle
in convincing him that my thyroid condition was being under treated
with just Synthroid. To my surprise, he listened to all my symptoms
and before I could mention the Study about the use of T3 in addition
to T4 mentioned in The New England Journal of Medicine, he asked me
if I’d tried Thyrolar or Armour. He said he was glad the Journal printed
the study, it confirmed what he’s believed all along. He then asked
me if I understood the TSH level and explained it to me. He wrote me
a prescription for Thyrolar. Hopefully I’ll see some results soon."
Colville
Dr. Barry Bacon, Family Practice, 1200 East Columbia, Colville, WA

prescribe Armour. He is not intimidated by knowledgeable patients. He is a great guy!" (Added

Dr. Katie Data N.D. Naturopath Fife Naturopathic Clinic 6111 - 20th
St. E Fife, WA 98424 253-926-2222 A reader writes: "I went to Dr. Data
after going to an endocrinologist for years. I was frustrated with my
former endo. Because she didn't want to explore treating my hypothyroidism
with Armour. She wouldn't even consider it. So I gave up on quit seeing
the endo. and looked up Dr. Data. She has been wonderful. Besides using
the lab work, she also bases her prescribing on how I feel. She listens
and treats you like an equal. I'm glad I found her." (Added 11/02)
A reader writes:
"After firing two endocrinologists and
two MDs because of their
poor treatment of my thyroid condition following a complete thyroidectomy I
sought the services of Dr.
Data in Fife, WA. She's very knowledgeable, personable, down to earth & best
of all, willing to work
WITH me rather than AGAINST me experimenting with various thyroid drugs &
dosages to find what
works best for ME. I highly recommend Dr. Data for anyone who is not
satisfied with their thyroid
treatment. Even though Dr. Data doesn't consider herself a "thyroid doctor,"
she's helped me more
than any other doctor I've seen for my thyroid replacement. She's also really
good with other hormone
issues." (Added Dec. 04) Edmonds
Dr. Henry Hochberg, Family Medicine, 22721 76th Avenue W. #B,
Edmonds,
WA 98026,425-672-2427. "Dr. Hochberg is a wonderful and caring doctor.
He will spend all the time with you that you need and will stop and
look you in the eyes when you are talking. He likes when his patients
are informed about their bodies and health. He is very open to any suggestions
you might have and will work with you. Dr. Hochberg didn't bat an eye
when I requested to be put on Armour. Because I don't have insurance
at the time he was willing to work with me on the frequency of blood
tests. He knew all about the testing for T4 and T3. If anyone who lives
in the N. Seattle area, Lynnewood or Edmonds and wants a great family
doctor that will help them and listen to them, I highly recommend Dr.
Hochberg." (Added 6/02). Everett
Laura Martin, ND Naturopathic, (425) 257-9713. A reader gushes, "She
LISTENS! For the first time in 15 years I am not on any prescriptions
except Armour. When I first met with her (in Dec. 2000) I was frustrated
with my previous MD’s who evaluated whether or not I was Hypothyroid
based on lab tests. Family history and personal symptoms were ignored.
Dr. Martin LISTENED, evaluated the test results, spotted inconsistencies
and put me on Armour. My life is back! We are working together to achieve
maximum health. WOW! If you want to get healthy from the inside out,
go see this modern day Dr. Quinn."
"In depth lab work, recognizes that "low normal" may not be good enough for you." (Added Apr

Dr. Karen Ilika, Gynecologist A reader writes, "She listens, she is
thorough, and she explains things clearly so that I can make rational
decisions regarding my own health. She allows me to work with alternative
therapies, but tells me clearly when something isn’t working and a more
conventional therapy is needed. I trust and value her opinions, and
I will continue to visit her annually whether my insurance covers her
new practice or not!" Kirkland
Michelle Ramauro ND, Naturopathic, Evergreen Center for Women's
Health,
12303 NE 130TH Ln. Suite 500, Kirkland, WA 98034, 425-899-4455,
http://www.womenshealthcare.org.
"After begging my skeptical PCP for a thyroid test, I was diagnosed
hypothyroid. My doc wrote a prescription, re-checked me after 6 weeks,
said I was normal and told me to come back next year. I was feeling
very sleepy on the medication and her nurse told me over the phone this
doc would not talk to me on the phone only during a paying visit-. I
finally chose a ND Dr. Ramauro- for my new PCP. She carefully listened
and wrote down my concerns then told me a number of things she'd like
to explore - all things I've recently read about on my own. She took
blood for a variety of tests and upped my Levoxyl level saying she'd
rather see my TSH between 1 and 2 and n see if I need to add a T3 replacement
drug. She makes phone calls and is very persistent about follow-up appointments.
I nearly cried during our first appt because she is finally giving me
the care, expertise and guidance I was so desperately seeking from my
other doc. I would recommend Dr. Ramauro to any friend who could possibly
have a thyroid problem."
Another patient writes:
"I was diagnosed as Hypothyroid in my mid 20s. In my late 20s my symptoms
increased and I bounced from Dr. to Dr. feeling like I was crazy for
saying I still didn't feel well or like myself. I had used the Women's
Center for Health at Evergreen Hospital before and decided to go see
Dr. Ramauro as an alternative to jumping from doctor to doctor with
no results. Dr. Ramauro truly listened to my concerns, my frustrations,
and what I perceived as my symptoms. She works closely with me on a
"plan" for better health and guides me to the correct specialists, when
needed. Dr. Ramauro returns my phone calls, wants follow-up calls after
I have been to a referred doc, and is genuinely concerned with my wellbeing!!
Since seeing her, and being referred to Dr. Robery Murray at the PolyClinic
in Seattle, I have been feeling better with the addition of T3 and the
lowering of my T4. Both Dr. Murray and Dr. Ramauro are the kind of doctors
I would recommend to any friend!!"
Another reader recommends Dr. Ramauro:
"After being bounced around from doc to doc I finally found her off
this website. She was great and prescribed Armour to me on first visit!
I have never felt better. She put me on a supplement regimen that has
helped as well, and also directed me to get my tonsils removed, something
I'd needed for years, but no other docs helped with! She is great!"

disease and was treated with RAI. I was low thyroid for years when I
was going to a GP. Now working with Dr. Scanlan with supplements and
acupuncture I am actually starting to heal my thyroid and lower my doses
of T3/T4. She has been incredibly supportive and together we have been

Dr. Rose is smart, caring, and sensitive to the needs each person. For
years I was told there was nothing wrong with my thyroid, now after being treated by Dr Rose for the
past 5 months we discovered it was the thyroid all along and I've lost 50 pounds since we started the

my hypothyroid symptoms are back,
despite the low end of normal T4 results. Dr. Tinh tested my TSH (off the scale 'high' on the new range)
and T3 (way below the scale) and switched me to Armour Thyroid. I am starting out with the dose that
replaces Levoxyl and he'll retest in 4 weeks, looking for my T3 to come up. YAY! Finally a doctor that
heard me and is willing to work with me. If he can't help, he said he'd send me to an endocrinologist
who CAN help me is what he told me." (Added 1/06)

Dr. Mylinh Vo, Naturopath, 4630 200th Street SW Suite A2, Lynnwood,
WA 98036, (425) 697-5583, www.restorebalance.com, "Dr. Vo is great and she spends a lot of time
listening to your concerns and coming up with a holistic treatment plan. She uses a more narrow optimal
range (as opposed to the ridiculously broad range used by most medical professionals) for checking
thyroid levels and other bloodwork, and she is not opposed to using T3 treatment when necessary. All
this to say....she's great!" (Added 1/06)

informs us, "I have gone to Dr. Hori for the past few years and he really
listens. What really made me appreciate him was when I asked him if
I could switch from my levothyroxine to Thyrolar. Although Group Health
doesn’t even carry it in their pharmacy, he was willing to write the
prescription for me and asked the pharmacist to order it for me (although
I had to pay full price). I never asked him if he would prescribe Armour

to prescribe Thyrolar." Port Townsend

Mindy L. Blaski, M.D., Family Practice, 3216 NE 45th PL, Suite 106,
Seattle, WA 98105-4028, (206) 526-0210. "I have had temporary thyroiditis
in the past with sub-clinical hypothyroid in the past, and I went to
a new doctor. Her approach was to do what was the "industry standard"
and when my TSH level came back as normal, all I received was a "I hope
you are feeling better" letter in the mail. I went to Doctor Blaski
on a recommendation from a friend and she listened, did more tests,
including antibodies and low and behold I was right and there is something
wrong, my TPO antibody test was at nearly 20! She even encouraged me
before we got the test results back that even if they all came back
as "normal" she would find out what was wrong. Now she has referred
me to Dr. Murray (also on this list) for more tests. I really liked
her because she took the time to listen and talk to me as a peer rather
than talking down to me, and she doesn't treat her patients like lab
values."
Another reader writes:
"Dr. Blaski is willing to listen to my concerns and work with my condition despite the fact that my levels
are "normal". She cares about how the individual is feeling. Dr. Blaski always answers my questions to
my satisfaction. I appreciate her straight forward manner and highly highly recommend her." (Added

Seattle
A reader writes: "I saw your request for top docs in the Anchorage area
and am sorry to report that I don't think there are enough thyroid cancer
cases in Alaska for much help from specialists. So I have no one to
recommend for endos or oncologists. The ENT's up here all subscribe
to the "cut it out then burn it" philosophy. So I had my surgery done
in Seattle. Excellent surgeon Dr. Stephen Clark." Seattle

Dr. David Moore, Surgeon; Otolaryngology/Thyroid 1221 Madison #1523
Seattle, WA 98104 (phone) 206.292.6464; (fax) 292.6498. A reader writes:
"I had a total thyroidectomy and lymph dissection due to papillary carcinoma,
and I cannot recommend Dr. Moore enough. His surgical skills are fantastic.
My procedure was extensive and I wasn't even hoarse afterward, and my
scar is barely visible! He also has really great "bedside manner." He
listens, empathizes and treats you as every person should be treated,
as an individual enduring a difficult experience, and not just yet another
problematic thyroid with a patient attached to it." (Added 6/03)
Another reader recommends Dr. Moore:
"I saw Dr. Moore's name listed on this site and was lucky enough to
be able to get a referral to see him from my insurance provider. I had
been suffering from rampant swings due to my Hashimoto's and had a suspicious
mass as well. I ended up with a total thyroidectomy due to an incidental
finding of 2 rare types of thyroid cancer. Not only did Dr. Moore save
my sanity but he probably also saved my life. He was the first doctor
in over a year that treated me as a patient who was genuinely suffering
and in need of treatment and not as just another neurotic female who
needed a prescription for anti-depressants. Not only does he have an
amazing bedside manner but his surgical skills are superior and I dare
say I will barely even have a scar. Dr. Moore is an outstanding surgeon,
a caring physician and a wonderful human being." (added 1/04)
Another recommendation:
"I have had two sinus surgeries and a tonsillectomy with Dr. Moore.
He has got to be the best doctor I have seen, and I've been to my share.
I recently was diagnosed with thyroid problems as well as a thyroid
lesion. If anything more needs to be done for it in the future I will
be seeing him. He listens, he cares, and best of all he tells you what's
going on with you, why and how..." (Added 4/04) Seattle
Kenneth Gross, MD, Endocrinology Virginia Mason, 1100 Ninth Ave.,
Seattle, WA 98101
(206) 223-6621, http://www.virginiamason.org/dbPhysicians/Physician2570.asp
A reader writes: "After searching the Seattle area for a physician who had the training to work with my
thyroid condition, I found Kenneth Gross,
MD. He listened as I explained my condition and treatment history. And
we talked. We talked about what research I had found and how it was
related to my situation. Maybe he had already planned to advise the
same treatment as I suggested, but he still listened. And as important
as being a good listener, he prescribes Armour Thyroid." (Added June 2005)
A reader writes:
"I came to Dr. Gross with a tough thyroid problem the other
doctors in the Seattle area did not have the training to treat. I had had
thyroid cancer, but because I had had a myelogram I could not have RAI, so
I had been prescribed suppressive dosages of Armour thyroid. Since moving
to Seattle I had not found a doctor to treat me. Finally I found Dr.
Gross, a young fellow, who will listen, yes actually listen and exchange
information with me and prescribe Armour thyroid. I strongly recommend
Dr. Gross for not only someone who needs Armour thyroid and someone who
will respect you." (Added June 2005)
Another recommendation:
"Dr. Gross is one of those rare endocrinologists who treats the symptoms not just the numbers. He’s
very nice and not the least bit condescending." (Added 10/05) Seattle
Dr. Robert Murray, Polyclinic on Broadway.
http://www.polyclinic.com/op_name.htm.
A reader writes: "He is excellent and 'saved' my life!!!!"
Another fan of Dr. Murray:
"I had 2 normal TSH tests in 6 years - and all the classic hypo symptoms.
When I had brain fog on T4 - he prescribed T3 (before I knew to ask
for it). When I had a super-sensitive reaction to too much T4, he was
skeptical but tested my blood levels a week apart and admitted I was
right, I’d shot past the normal range, and he revised my meds accordingly.
When I told him I had to lower T4 before my period he just said - it’s
illogical, but if it works - do it. He treats symptoms - using all available
treatments - and he listens to the patient not just test results."
Another patient writes:
"I learned of Dr. Murray from this site -- thanks! I'd had a goiter
for 8 years but consistently received "normal" thyroid reports from
other physicians. I'd learned a bit from this site before seeing him,
and was impressed and comforted that he addressed all issues I felt
were important. He takes the time to explain, and always whips out a
pad and draws diagrams and makes notes for me to take home -- continuing
education! He truly listens and takes my comments and complaints seriously,
and I know I'm in good hands. I've recommended him to a co-worker who
has been seeing another physician for years, and she is also very impressed.
I can't recommend him highly enough."
More praise for Dr. Murray:
"Going to Dr. Murray," shares one reader, "has changed my life dramatically.
Although I'd been taking T4 (Synthroid) for years, I had serious problems
with brain fog. My memory was getting bad and I couldn't make decisions
about anything. So I went to Dr. Murray, who prescribed T3 and lowered
my T4 a little. He really listened to my symptoms (which no doctor ever
had done before). Now I'm able to remember better, make decisions, and
feel much more alive and aware. I've recommended Dr. Murray to a friend,
who also had good results."
Another patient writes:
"Dr Murray listened to me when I came into his office. I was tired and
frustrated. I had heard that maybe I had depression because my thryroid
wasn't "that low." He turned to me and said, "Don't worry, we're going
to fix this. You are going to feel better!" He did the appropriate tests
and prescribed Synthroid. When he felt appropriate he prescribed Cytomel.
He is always attentive to what I say and how I feel. If I have a complaint
about something he listens. He saved my life. Before him I couldn't
concentrate, I was so tired, and I thought I was going to feel that
way forever. He is a great doctor. I'm a nurse, I should know!"
Another fan:
"Dr. Murray believes in treating patients, not lab values. In his practice,
he's found that patients whose lab work is in the "normal" range, but
who still don't feel well, do very well with the addition of Cytomel.
He generally aims for TSH of 1.0 or below, but also runs free T3 and
Free T4, tweaking medication where needed. Visits and assessment are
3X a year, rather than yearly, so he's really able to keep track of
his patients. He is an open-minded breath of fresh air in the stodgy
and inflexible endo community of the Pac. Northwest."
Another recommendation:
Dr. Murry knows his stuff!! I've been seeing Dr. Murry for about 14
years. I even have him give my general GP's a call and tell them where
they have erred. He currently has me on Cytomel along with Synthroid
and it's wonderful. Mental sluggishness, mood swings, forgetfulness
is a thing of the past. He takes time to listen and knows how to read
in between the line on those T-3 & T-4 test! I've sent many folks his
way over the years. (Added 6/02)
More praise from a reader for Dr. Murray:
"After 3 years of my GP telling me he had checked me and I was "normal"
(repeated attempts to get him to consider low thyroid) I went over his
head and found Dr. Murray, not only did I have low thyroid, but Hashimoto's.
He was kind, encouraging and I finally feel like me needs are being
respected. I am so glad to have found him from this website. Thank you,
Dr. Murray; thank you Mary!" (added 1/04)
More clarification from a patient:
"I am sure he is a very good doctor for a lot of people, as long as
you can tolerate Levoxyl and Cytomel. I would hate to see him taken
off your list if he is helping those that can tolerate these medications,
but he gave me no other choice..."
Another fan:
"After experiencing a laundry list of strange symptoms, my primary care professional (Joelle
Thirsk-Fathi, a WONDERFUL nurse practitioner whose patients will dearly miss her as she is moving
into acute care)
tested me for thyroid antibodies. Although my TSH, T4 & T3 were normal, my TPO & thyroglobulin
antibodies were quite high. The first endocrinologist Joelle referred me to felt my problems were not
thyroid in nature, and said I might have panic disorder. Joelle did not give up. She referred me to Dr.
Robert Murray, who just recently began treating me for autoimmune thyroid disease. Three days into my
treatment, I am already feeling better. Dr. Murray was very nice, professional and willing to listen."

Dr. Gholam Mozaffarian, Endocrinology, women's hormones, thyroid
disease,
1221 Madison Ave., Suite 918, Seattle, WA 98104, 206-382-8060. "I was
referred to Dr. Mo by my insurance provider and was afraid I was being
sent to yet another endo who treats by lab values without paying heed
to symptoms as well. I was so wrong! He also surprised my by doing my
FNA in his office himself. I had two ultrasound guided biopsies cancelled
because the radiologists could not "find" my thyroid nodule. Dr. Mo
found it with his bare hands. He did a very thorough job and the results
helped dictate a treatment that may very well have saved my life! He
works well with Dr. David Moore, an Otolaryngologist in the same professional
building and they made an excellent partnership for my treatment at
Swedish Medical Center. Dr. Mo took the time to really listen to me,
was open-minded to my desire to use Armour Thyroid instead of Synthroid,
and he even came to the hospital to check on me after my thyroidectomy.
He told me that he was glad that I had shared my "intuitions and pre-surgery
fears" with him because it helped he and Dr. Moore decide the best treatment
for me." (added 1/04)
A reader writes: "Dr.
Mo is without a doubt one of the most receptive Dr.'s I have ever met
and I have a VERY LONG history of illness for 34 years of my life. He listens to
you. He looks at your medical history. He is interested in you. He like to hear what you think about
your symptoms and your opinion as to what you think is contributing to your symptoms. He does not go
by what the "lab levels" of normal or not normal are when looking at your blood work when it comes
to your
TSH, etc. He believes in the new findings that the thyroid level for hypothyroidism can be managed
to levels up to .3 to 3 or above. What is normal for most is not normal for you. He isn't negligent in
the area. It is just that he listens to you when you tell him where you have felt the best as far as your
TSH
levels have been. He doesn't put in the "normal level" range for the laboratory normals or
abnormal. He puts you to where he thinks and you think you should be. He called my family Dr. right
there where I
could listen to what he was telling him. He is willing to work with your family Dr. to get you to feeling
better and back to as normal as you can get with a problem like Hashimoto's Disease like I have. My
sister
is going to see him for her hyperthyroid problem. He is a very educated man but yet he doesn't talk
down to you. He has a wonderful personality and a compassion towards you and illness like
I have only seen in about 4 Dr's all these years. Please go and see him. He is wonderful. He is genuinely
glad to see you and you don't feel like a "dollar bill" to him. Please let him know what
you think and feel and he is truly interested. Thank you Dr. for being there for me and I know you will
continue to be. You are what a Dr. is supposed to be. You live up to the oath that you take to be a Dr.
I look forward to seeing you again."(Added: June 2004)

"There are other comments regarding Dr Mozaffarian on this website
and concur with everything that has been said. Another one of his patients referred me to him, and it was
the best move I have made in treating my thyroid disease. My first endo would tell me that my test
results were normal when they were anything but. She advised me not to research my disease on the
internet, and to be wary of discussion groups. Dr. Moz is really happy that we have our thyroid support
group, research and ask good questions, which he is very willing to answer. I truly feel like he partners
with me. I never have to ask for my lab hard copies -- they are always handed to me when I walk in the
door. His staff is caring and very skilled in blood draws. I (and others) have told him he can't retire, and
we have to find a way to clone him. His genuine caring and concern are so refreshing. Hip hip hooray
for Dr. Moz! " (Added: Dec. 04)

far the best! She tests not only T4, but the T3s as well, and adjusts your Rx based on not just labs but

Wa. 98102, 206-324-5433, dralexkraft.com. "I had been to 4 doctors in 2 different countries- with
virtually all the symptoms of Hypothyroidism. My TSH was normal, and, although I had gained over 30
lbs. in just under 3 months- my weight was still
in the upper "normal" range for my height; therefore, not one doctor would agree to test my T3.. let
alone listen to me! I finally decided to see a naturopath- and the decision changed my life. From the
minute I started to tell Dr. Kraft my symptoms and the changes I had noticed over the last months, I
notices one major difference: he was actually listening! My first visit with the doctor was over an hour
and a half. He ordered a full blood panel, and assured me that, no matter what, we will find out what
is going on with me. My test came back Hypothyroid, and anemic. Dr. Kraft explained to me all my
different treatment options, both the natural treatments and conventional treatments and asked ME how
I would like to approach treatment! I decided to give the Homeopathic remedy a try first, and later
decided to see how I felt on Armour. Dr. Kraft is a lovely person who treats the whole person, not just
your lab results. I am moving to LA soon, and still plan to fly back here to Seattle to continue to see Dr.

Dr. Adye placed me completely at ease. He explained the dangers of a

birth to my first child. Four years and two more kids later I was still
dealing with the same symptoms I had originally complained about. My
Dr. told me my TSH was normal, and the fatigue, brain fog, extra weight,
etc. was due to breast feeding not thyroid. I asked to try switching
to Armour, and was told that it was unstable and I didn't need it. Finally
fed up, I searched for a Dr. who would actually help. I hit the jackpot
in Dr. Harkin. After listening to me describe my symptoms she said "It
sound like your not getting enough t3. She prescribed Armour, and the
difference was amazing. She gave me a list of foods to avoid, and exercises
to help stimulate the thyroid gland. She really listens and understands.

Why is a Particular Doctor No Longer Listed?
Doctors who were previously listed here are removed for a number of reasons.
1. The doctor has requested that his/her listings be removed because: he/she does not agree with this site’s philosophy or patient-orientation; the practice is too busy and can’t accept new patients; the doctor does not feel comfortable handling complicated thyroid problems; the doctor did not agree with what was said in the patient recommendations; or the doctor said “take me off the list” and offered no explanation.
2. The doctor has moved, retired, or died.
3. The doctor has lost his/her license, or given up his/her license, and is no longer practicing medicine.
4. Patients have provided negative input about the doctor that is of sufficient concern that, in the opinion of the editor, the doctor should no longer be on the Top Thyroid Doctors List.
Thyroid Top Doctors would face legal concerns if we published specific information about why patients had negative opinions about doctors, or if we shared a doctor’s occasional ranting ”take me off” email, or if we publicized doctors with licensing problems. So please, if you see that a doctor has been taken off the list and want to know why, talk to the doctor directly. If you write to us to ask why a doctor was taken off the list, we’re sorry, but we won’t be able to answer you or share that information.
